Favillas New York Pizza: Authentic Pizza and Satisfying Subs in Asheville

I stopped to pick up a pizza on my way home from the Crowne Plaza. I've been meaning to try their pizza for about a year because the reviews were always so good. I learned the owner was in a very bad car accident a few months ago and experienced some difficulties with this little restaurant while he was recovering. Apparently, he broke his back, ribs, many other bones, and damaged his heart. I'm very impressed he is dedicated to making this restaurant what it once was before his accident and Helene. So I got a 10" pepperoni for my 20 year old son, whom I consider a connoisseur of pizza, and it did not disappoint! He said it was delicious and really liked the sauce! I'll be stopping by to grab pizzas here again when I'm in the area! Next time, we'll try a white pizza or the cheese steak. The atmosphere was great too! You could tell the employees were going above and beyond. It was very busy on a Friday afternoon around 1:30, but the service was still great!

Asked for my pizza well done ( per some of the other reviews). Pizza was cooked perfectly. Not exactly NY style ( less greasy, a little thicker, and not really foldable), but delishious nonetheless! Will definitely be ordering again.

This place is fantastic. Found it through Google Maps and have been telling friends and family about it ever since. This place is all about pizza. We ordered a couple slices of the Grandma style and a couple pepperoni and sausage pinwheels; both were amazing, but the pizza crust is what we haven't been able to stop talking about. It looks like Favilla's is mostly a takeout location, but we comfortably ate-in at one of the 4-6 tables. Most tables were taken but there were always one or two available when we were there. I will be back for a slice of the NY style

Their pizza is delicious! Favorite here in WNC, this Grandma's pizza was my favorite. Me and my Fiancé are from NY and even met someone else from NY in there and she bragged on it too. Closest to NY pizza I've had here! Go try them out

I did not expect to have this awesome pizza!! we ordered a large sausage and mushroom. We each ate 2 slices at the restaurant and took the rest home, along with a few other items. The picture is my lunch the following afternoon. I will drive the 1 1/2 hours from Tennessee when the cravings start ine the future. The Spinach pizza slice had sesame crust. It was the best crust ever. So crunchy and memorable. I ordered and side of meatballs and sausage with mozzarella. I threw in leftover penne I had and warmed the garlic knots that accompanied the side. What a great lunch. The pizza dough was so fresh. I will definitely be back. my only wish is that they would get some help because the back of the house needs cleaning. We are all thinking it. oh yeah, the girls at the front were fabulous!! Smart, adorbs and quick.

Darren and Malik were excellent on customer service! The pizza speaks for itself it's the best pizza in Asheville North Carolina. This pizza restaurant has now become my favorite. A+8-29-25Excellent pizza like always!

We grabbed a meat lover and buffalo chicken slice. Both were amazing! I found the slices to be a great size and folded perfectly. Crust was cooked to my liking. A genuine great slice for a great price.
